Our aim is simple – we want to build a modern, bespoke home that’s affordable and enduring. A home that adds to the streetscape and local environment. A home that we’re proud to build and you’re proud to call home.
Building a home is about materials and frames and floorcoverings. It’s also about trust. That’s why we’re transparent about building costs. We don’t shy away from potential site costs. We’re focussed on details, your level of inclusions and the accuracy of the selection process. It adds up to a clear line of communication that’s direct and straight forward. Essentially, a process based on trust.
You know where you stand with Martin Project Homes.
This is the essential quality that makes the final, lasting difference between a home and a Martin Project Home – the integrity of materials, the reliability of construction and exceptional standard of craftsmanship. Adhering to best building practice and the employment of qualified trade professionals adds to the style, integrity and finish that makes a Martin Project Home such an outstanding investment.
With an in-house design team and experienced project managers we understand that no two homes are exactly alike. That’s why we dedicate ourselves to making our home designs flexible, allowing us to tailor a home perfect for your requirements.
Our first display home at Heritage Parc was awarded the HIA Display Home of the Year in Newcastle, only months after construction finished. Martin Project Homes evolved as a separate arm of Martin Building Services, for eighteen years a name synonymous with building excellence, innovation and customer service.
Martin Project Homes are created to provide modern, efficient and practical designs. The stunning Martin façade is bold and striking, commanding the streetscape with a fresh approach to design. A combination of modern light weight cladding creates a well-articulated home with unique character, easily customised by simply using a variety of colours and materials.
The Alvar is at the heart of our design approach with a totally modern floor plan that suits both the urban and rural environment. The idea of a central courtyard and kitchen at the heart of the home creates a well-connected, open and flexible living space. The design creates transparency and connection from inside to out, the varying ceiling heights and bulkheads combining in a soaring raked living area that creates a bold and striking internal architectural expanse. The Alvar interior is further enhanced by a captivating and striking butterfly skillion roof appearance. The roof is unlike any standard roof form and provides an outstanding street appearance and appeal.
Martin Project Homes are grounded on sustainable and good design practice. Appropriately sized windows and design provide both privacy and good natural lighting to the homes, reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day. Our own simple and unique Martin window awning system offers both shade and weather protection. Our light weight cladding system is ideal for reactive or difficult sites, the reduced building weight reducing the risk of site or building movement.
Our design brief is to focus on simple, functional, adaptable and open plan living layouts that allow flexibility for buyers and their modern lifestyles. The façade choice is yours – the contemporary lines of our Martin Façade, the traditional, understated styling of our Hunter Façade or the clean, classic look of the Project Façade.
We’re fortunate to work with great people, who are happy to share their experiences with Martin Project Homes.
“In 2016 my Wife and I attended Martin Project Homes’ display home in Rutherford after seeing the Alvar 263 built in Bolwarra Heights. We spent a few hours at the display home and it was safe to say we had decided to build A Martin Project Home at this point. Their finishes and attention to detail were like no other.
Our planning went on for the next year. Peter Wakeman and I exchanged numerous emails and he was able to tailor a quote with all of the tricky inclusions we were after. No matter the variation, Peter was more than willing to get what we wanted on paper. Believe me, there were numerous variations. Peter always researched our requests before coming back with the correct answer. The quote was itemised and there were no hidden costs. By December 2017 we were ready to pay our deposit. Peter introduced us to Chris Cocking, our Project Manager.
In May 2018 our project started. Chris kept us informed on the progress constantly and would always call to clarify certain details. We exchanged just as many emails with Chris and he always responded quickly. He was always of the belief that this is our home and it needs to be perfect.
Chris was meticulous with his planning and quality control on our job. Often I would see him out at the house in his own time, making sure everything was being done correctly and to the strict Martin Project Homes standard. Every build has its small issues, and ours did, though Chris was extremely quick to fix these. We were never held up.
On 14th November our project was at Practical Completion. We inspected the house and found only minor issues, mostly relating to painting that needed completing. The reason there were next to no issues is because Chris made sure they were fixed up as the job progressed, saving time at the end of the job. On 27th November 2018 we got the keys to our new home. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
From our initial appointment to practical completion, the communication and professionalism shown by the team at Martin Project Homes was of the highest standard.
We highly recommend Martin Project Homes to build your dream home. They are flexible with their designs, the products they use are of the highest quality and you can be assured their build quality is of the highest standard.”

“From the initial ‘phone call and the moment we walked through the Martin Builders door we felt welcomed and totally at ease with this building Company.
After this first meeting with Peter Wakeman our decision was an easy one. We wanted our new home to be constructed by Martin Project Homes.
The importance of developing a rapport between client and builder is understandably paramount.
All the research offered to us and the advice given has instilled a trust beyond all measures, making our design process both rewarding and stress-free.
We are looking forward to the next phase of the actual construction and know that should any issues arise, these will be handled in both a professional and caring manner.
Our dealings with all staff members with our selections and all the necessary paperwork has made this a pleasant experience.
Thank You Martin Project Homes.”
“We are extremely happy we decided on Martin Project Homes to build our new home. The whole process has been straightforward & much quicker than we anticipated.
When it came to the design aspect, it wasn’t just a matter of cut & paste. Careful consideration of our land & lifestyle achieved the best possible result for us. We are impressed: it looks great & is so spacious & open. Can’t wait to see it on completion.
To the team at Martin project homes. We appreciate your integrity & all your help. It has been a pleasure.
A big thankyou also to Peter. You are a true gem. Your integrity, professionalism & customer service is beyond reproach. We hope to have you for a bbq on our huge deck when finished.

“We originally started our building process with one of the big name builders. After being disappointed with the inclusions and the service so early on In the process, we are so glad that we decided to cancel and move over to a great local company that actually treated us like people and not just like another number.
From beginning to end the communication, service and quality of workmanship has been amazing.
Whenever we wanted to speak with anyone they always got back to us so quickly via calls, text and emails so we felt like we were always top priority.
We loved how they really cared about us getting exactly what we wanted and working with us and our budget. Because of this we were able to make the kitchen exactly how we wanted. We love it!
Overall the whole process has been very positive and we would definitely build again with Martin Project Homes.”
